Chai Jian, whose Daoist name is Lingxuzi, is a twenty-sixth-generation inheritor of the Wudang Sanfeng Natural School. His family has lived at Wudang Mountain for generations, and the two generations before him were Daoists of the Wudang Zhengyi tradition. He studied Daoist practice, martial arts, and Taoist medicine under Zhang Qi, the twenty-fifth-generation head of the Wudang Sanfeng Natural School. Drawing on many traditions over the years, he has developed particular expertise in Taoist medicine and herbal remedies. Since 2022, he has taught Taoist medicine at Spring Valley Academy and in the EWIP program.
